Wedding Reception, April 2007

Task List for Roberts/Moore wedding reception

Three weeks before (March 17)

  • Identify set up team
    • Confirm delivery and set up of chocolate fountain
  • Identify restock team
  • Identify clean up team
  • Identify fruit trays/veggie tray assembly team
  • Secure vendor estimates
  • Choose vendors (Chik-Fil-A, Honeybaked Ham, Neomonde)
  • Site visit (Identify table size and setup at Arboretum)
 

Two weeks before (March 24)

  • Look into punch fountain rentals (checked three places, recommend punch bowl)
  • Locate and reserve items to rent (Tables, tablecloths -- size/ quantity)
  • Identify transport for rented tables
  • Identify accompaniment/serving dishes needed for salmon
  • Contact café for access to ice maker

One week before (March 31)

  • Finalize and document menu (with quantities)
  • Identify number and size of fruit and veggie trays needed
  • Finalize quantities and shopping lists (perishable and nonperishable)
  • Order food from vendors
  • Identify dishes from church/cafe available for us
  • Get long-term cooler for fruit/veggie storage from Annette

Two days before (April 5)

  • Shop for non-perishables still needed and perishables (fruit, veggies, dips, etc.)

One day before (April 6)

  • Pick up rented items (tables, tablecloths)
  • Pick up dinner rolls at BJs
  • Cut fruit and veggies at the cafe

Day of (April 7)

  • Set up tables (Arboretum)
  • Moores to deliver cake and fruit/veggies to the Arboretum
  • Deliver rented, borrowed and pre-purchased items to facility at 10 a.m.
  • Wash berries, grapes; Assemble fruit/veggie tray
  • Cut angel food cake into cubes
  • Pick up chicken strips/ham trays and hummus
  • Slice lemons, mix lemonade and set up punch bowl
  • Transfer food to serving dishes and set serving table
  • Serve lemonade
  • Restock food during reception
  • Cut and serve cake
  • Clean up after reception
