Chad's
Story
Chad Revelle has been there. His life experiences provide a common ground for connecting with people. He speaks to them, individually or in groups – large or small, candidly and honestly about the mistakes he has made and how God has transformed him.
He’s been there, trying to “fit in” a rough neighborhood.
He’s been there, competing in sports to win validation and identity.
He’s been there, living a life of partying, promiscuity and binge drinking, seeking to fill the hunger in his soul with what the world offers.
He’s been there, struggling in a marriage full of “TV drama.”
Meeting people where they are gives Chad the opportunity to speak into their lives, bringing the hope and healing of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He travels across the U.S. speaking at churches, youth groups, revivals, Fellowship of Christian Athletes meetings, school assemblies, and business events, sharing his passion for living in relationship with Christ.
Chad is the founder and president of The Matthew Project, a multi-faceted outreach to young men ages 13 to 18. His burden is for them to know Christ and become the husbands and fathers God intends them to be.
Though Chad was baptized at age 11, it was years later as an N.C. State University college student when he truly met his Savior. His world shaken by the double-punch loss of his football scholarship and his girlfriend, he picked up his Bible desperately in search of hope. God spoke to him through His Word, specifically Matthew 10:39: “Whoever tries to find his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Christ’s sake will find it.” With that, Chad began to find his true life in Christ. He realized for the first time that his Christian faith was not about religion but relationship.
That relationship sustains him through life’s ups and downs. At a crisis point of nearly losing his marriage, Chad came to a true repentance of the selfishness and pride that was eroding his relationship with his wife. He has experienced both tremendous success and devastating failure as an entrepreneur. Through it all, he has learned how his decisions impact others and that following Jesus is a 24/7/365 commitment.
An active member of the Christian Business Network, Chad holds a bachelor’s degree in math education from N.C. State University and is currently pursuing a masters of divinity from Liberty University. He lives in Youngsville, N.C., with his wife of thirteen years, Caydee, and their four children Cierra, Cidney, Carter and Caden.
